HI THERE, I WAS AT THE V8’S IN DARWIN AND SEEING YOU GIRLS PERFORM LIVE ON TRACK WAS UNREAL! HOW MANY EVENTS DO YOU GET TO GO TO AND DO THAT? TONY, ADELAIDE

Hi Tony,

Believe it or not, we are lucky enough to perform at every V8 round in Australia!  We also get to perform at many other great events around Australia such as State of Origin, Bitter Rivals Rugby League games, some music festivals like Tamworth Country Music Festival, horse-racing days, rodeos and even a few musters throughout the year!
So, as you can see, we get the opportunity to see some pretty great places in Australia.  Hope to see you at an event coming up soon!

FOLLOWING THE DRIVERS AROUND THE V8 SEASON MUST BE PRETTY COOL. THEY ALL SEEM LIKE THEY’RE FAIRLY OPEN FOR A CHAT. WOULD ANY OF YOU THINK ABOUT HOPPING IN THE CAR FOR A HOT LAP WITH THEM? OR HELPING OUT IN THE PITS? CHRIS

What might make for even more interesting viewing would be if we threw the drivers in the back of our XXXX Angels Ute and took them for a spin around the track, or invited them down to the pits (our rehearsal studio) to help our choreographer, William Forsythe, put together some new routines. Ha ha! On a serious note, I haven’t yet been for a hot lap but we have been over to the pits a few times to see how everything works; hats off to the amazing pit crews who are every bit as much a part of the race as our superstar drivers!!!

We are certainly blessed Angels.  Performing for massive crowds and watching the race from the best view point with great mates and a can of XXXX GOLD….life doesn’t get much better than that.

Hi Kylie!
 
The opportunity to interview the QLD players after Origin was very exciting but I was also super nervous! Luckily, the Maroons I interviewed were so nice and accommodating! Even in the wake of an exciting win, Nate Myles, Dave Shillington and Dave Taylor were keen for a chat and a laugh, and the absence of any arrogance in an absolute legend like Darren Lockyer is astounding. Thank you very much for the offer of your assistance but if they needed another person and I didn’t ask one of my brothers, they would undoubtedly disown me! Consider yourself third on the list! Ha!

KATIE, WHAT DO YOU GET UP TO IN YOUR SPARE TIME WHILST AT AN EVENT? JAS, GOLD COAST

Hi, Jas J. Our working day at events is packed full of performances, interviews, signings and of course meeting and having a chat with XXXX supporters such as yourself. We love what we do but unfortunately being so busy means we don’t get a lot of spare time at the actual event. We do however always make an effort to explore the town/city the event is being held in and really make the most of being lucky enough to travel all over Australia as a XXXX Ambassador.

KIRSTY, WHAT WOULD BE ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MOMENTS THAT’S HAPPENED ON TOUR SO FAR IN 2010? WITH 7 ANGELS TRAVELING TOGETHER SURELY THERE ARE SOME CLASSIC MOMENTS? JIMMY

Hi Jimmy, it’s honestly so hard to pick just one! It probably sounds clichéd but we all get along like sisters, so we’re always playing pranks on each other on tour, laughing at each other’s misfortune – in the nicest possible way! ☺ Recently Mr. Fourex organised for us to go shark diving but we told Ebony it was just a normal work day. The look on her face when we pulled up to our extreme adventure was priceless!

Hi Anthony!
I’m certainly hoping the Mighty Tigs go all the way - although they’ve been making me nervous lately! Thank goodness they had a return to form this round with a win over the Knights. Filling Moltzens absence has proved very difficult. My family have been Tigers fans since my Dad played a couple of games for Balmain in the early 70s. I was much more interested in tap shoes than footy boots in my youth but in recent years I’ve definitely embraced the family footy culture and now enjoy nothing better than a XXXX GOLD in front of Sunday afternoon footy.

LYNDELL, WHO DID YOU GET TO DANCE WITH WHILST ON AUSTRALIAN IDOL? I’VE WATCHED THAT SHOW FOR YEARS. WOULD YOU EVER LIKE TO DANCE WITH SOME OF THE PEOPLE SINGING AT THE V8 ROUNDS? I RECKON YOU WOULD ALL BE GREAT!

I performed as part of a huge group of professional dancers at the Australian Idol Grand Final a couple of years ago, It was a variety of singers and was a fantastic experience for me and everyone involved!

And yes, I would love to dance with some of the bands and artists performing at V8s!! All of the Angels have varying tastes in terms of music, but I can honestly say that not one of us would reject a chance to dance behind the amazing acts at the V8 supercar concerts! The Presets would be amazing (as we have our new Presets medley routine which we love) and I, personally, would LOVE the chance to dance behind PINK! She is definitely one of my inspirations and I think she is awesome.

Hi Chad, thanks for writing in! The XXXX Angels will be at Bathurst this year with bells on!  We’ll be doing our usual lap of the track on our XXXX Angels ute and if we’re lucky we might get to pop up to the mountain and say hi. Check out our website xxxxangels.com.au beforehand to check out any competitions that may be on such as the ‘Build Your Own Retreat Competition’ from last year. Look forward to seeing you there again this year!

ERIN, ARE YOU STILL A TITANS FAN? PRETTY POOR FORM THIS YEAR SO FAR, HOW DO YOU THINK THEY’LL GO? AND ANY CHANCE OF A BACKFLIP THIS YEAR? I SAW YOU DO ONE AT BEACH CRICKET!

Yes, Titans are still my #1 team in the NRL! I have always been a fan, starting from when I was a cheerleader for them in 2007. I think the Titans have done really well considering their team captain, Scotty Prince, has been out with an injury. And don’t forget their victory over Melbourne Storm last week who are currently the #1 contenders for the premiership. So, I reckon the Titans are going to be a tough team to beat. Yes, you may see some back flipping action from me during the football season!
